If you're interested in writing, the future of Hollywood, what it was like when the Berlin wall fell, storytelling, you'll love this episode.
Chris Silber is a writer. He’s had movies and television shows produced all over the world. One time, I was chatting with Chris, he had a series launching in the UK, a movie launching in Italy, and he was developing a series in the US. He did all of this from his house in Nashville.
His more recent projects include Sam - A Saxon on Hulu/Disney + and a children’s book based on how he helped his daughter deal with the death of her mom and Chris’s late wife.
In life, you meet people and you think, I want their job, Chris is one of those people for me. We’re not exactly the same, I do stand-up, Chris doesn’t, and he does some things that I don’t do, but basically I want to have the type of creative life he has. Chris is very much a mentor to me.
Shortly before I wrote Left At Wall, Chris told me that I was getting to the point where I needed to make something, something bigger than just a sketch or a podcast. So I wrote Left At Wall with the intention of making it as an indie film. There’s a chance that if it weren’t for Chris, Left At Wall wouldn’t exist.
