"Love Me I'm a Liberal" and Ron's Proposal
And Edinburgh!
So, as many of you probably already know a few years ago I did an updated version of the Phil Ochs classic, “Love Me I’m a Liberal.”
It was a good time and it had a nice little run. Many artists have done updated renditions of that song, I’m happy to be among them and I hope mine brought some joy and catharsis to folks.
About a year before I did my version, I proposed to my now-wife in Princes Street Garden in Edinburgh. Last week on the 1000 Podcast, my guest, Lach, informed me of a very interesting connection between where I proposed and Phil Ochs. Kinda trippy if ya ask me…
